Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga has been recognized by Newsweek as one of Canada’s “most responsible” companies.
In collaboration with data firm Statista, Newsweek published the “Canada’s Most Responsible Companies 2025” list, which highlights 150 organizations across 13 industries for their dedication to climate action, social welfare, and responsible governance.
This inaugural list selected companies from Canada’s 700 largest private and public entities, evaluating them based on over 30 key performance indicators and a corporate social responsibility survey involving more than 4,000 Canadian consumers.
In the transportation and logistics sector, Pearson secured third place with an overall score of 66.33 out of 100. The companies ranking above it were CN in second place with a score of 74.03 and Canada Post in first place with 86.75.
Deborah Flint, president and CEO of Toronto Pearson, stated that these results confirm the airport is progressing toward its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions and addressing important issues for Canadians. She emphasized their commitment to collaborating with industry partners to reduce environmental impacts and create lasting benefits for passengers, partners, and the wider community.
