Late-night cleaning foils would-be theft on Guelph Line
A routine cleaning shift turned into an unexpected crime deterrent at a rural Milton gas station late Friday night (Dec. 27).
According to Halton police media relations officer Jeff Dillon, around 10:30 p.m., four suspects attempted to force their way into the closed Petro Canada at 10779 Guelph Line.
Their plans were cut short when they spotted an employee cleaning inside. All suspects, dressed in dark clothing and wearing face coverings, fled the scene in a dark-coloured van without gaining entry.
The investigation remains ongoing.
