Police have arrested several more individuals, including some from Brampton and Mississauga, in connection with a shootout that occurred on Queen Street West in Toronto last November. Authorities are also seeking additional suspects.
The incident took place on November 11, when three people exited a vehicle and began shooting at a group of men standing outside a building hosting a party. Some members of the targeted group returned fire. Despite the barrage of bullets, no one was injured, although a police car, parked nearby while officers investigated an unrelated issue, was struck.
Multiple arrests were made at the time, and 16 firearms were seized.
During a press conference on January 23, police described it as a miracle that no one was killed or hurt in the intense gunfire exchange.
Police announced that 14 more arrests have been made, bringing the total number of charges to 105. Those arrested include:
Jahvon Myles, 18, from Brampton
Tevon Hutchinson, 21, from Brampton
Ajmain Rahman, 27, from Mississauga
Additionally, police have identified nine other suspects, and their photos have been released—except for a youth whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Some of these suspects are from Brampton and Mississauga.
