Seasons Milton Retirement Community recently celebrated Dr. Seuss Day by promoting children’s literacy through a book donation drive. In collaboration with its Seniorosity team, which includes resident Pat Rol, a dedicated volunteer, Seasons Milton gathered 40 children’s books from residents and staff to donate to the Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC).
The donation was inspired by the belief that reading and a love of books are foundational to a child’s imagination and future success. Sarah Periana, the general manager at Seasons Milton, emphasized the importance of community and service, noting that the residents and team enjoy supporting local causes and making a positive impact.

The donated books will be available through MCRC’s various programs, including childcare, summer camps, and an early years center, where children can take a book home for free, fostering continued learning and enjoyment. Seasons Milton plans to make this initiative an annual event, with hopes to involve the wider Milton community in future book collections and distributions.
