There is no denying that the decline of the American left was both dramatic and unexpected. The defeat of Barack Obama—yes, not Kamala Harris, as he was the true architect of the Democratic Party’s agenda—was shocking, and the magnitude of this collapse exceeded everyone’s expectations. The overwhelming victory of President-elect Trump was nothing short of a landslide, akin to a historic football comeback, credited to both him and the Republican Party. But the greatest victory was for the American people, who chose their humanity and civilization, rejecting the hollow promises of the left that, if followed, would spell the end of America’s leadership on the global stage.

Trump secured a historic victory with 58% of the vote, earning 312 out of 538 electoral votes, while Harris garnered only 226 votes. Although this was not the largest victory in American history—Ronald Reagan holds that record with 525 electoral votes and 97.6% of the popular vote in 1984, and George Washington’s 100% win in 1788 remains the highest margin—Trump’s victory was still decisive. His triumph extended beyond the presidential race to the Senate and House of Representatives, giving Trump the ability to govern with near total control for at least two years, with the potential for further growth.
The question everyone asks is: How did this overwhelming victory happen? How did Trump win despite the immense power of the American media, celebrities, and the constant barrage of threats and intimidation aimed at him? How did he prevail despite facing 34 serious legal charges—any one of which could have ended his political future? How did he survive two assassination attempts, ultimately standing before the world with his hands raised, his face covered in blood, and declaring his famous words, “Fight”? This iconic image resonated with the American people, who rejected the left’s deceptive rhetoric and instead chose America, choosing humanity.
I offer my personal analysis of why Trump and the Republicans achieved this historic victory. These observations are the result of 26 years of political engagement, including a close connection to Trump’s electoral campaign and to American friends with significant influence over public sentiment. My perspective is shaped by my experience with the left in Canada, a reality I believe mirrors the American political and social situation in many ways. Before delving into my points, I ask two things of you: 1) Please read until the end, as the final point is the most important. 2) Please compare my observations with what is happening in Canada, as I am convinced that the leftist agenda, with its destructive political and social policies, is aimed at dismantling Western civilization, enslaving the populace, and using soft power to achieve its ends, much like the ancient serpent deceived Eve.
Economic Situation
Under Obama (and now Biden), the American people have been pushed into poverty. Biden raised income taxes while imposing economic hardships from the pandemic and international conflicts. This worsened the financial strain on Americans and crippled the ability of businesses to thrive, leading to record low employment levels. In contrast, Trump’s economic policies were proven to be successful. Harris’s vague promise of economic recovery with slogans like “the economy will be fine” did little to ease the burden of rising costs. Comparisons with Canada’s economic challenges under leftist policies are stark and equally troubling.
Human and Moral Values
Contrary to Hollywood portrayals, America is far more conservative than Europe, which has been overtaken by leftist ideologies. Issues like abortion, homosexuality, and drugs were central to Harris’s campaign, whereas Trump promised to restrict gender transition procedures for minors, prevent the use of puberty blockers, and uphold traditional moral values. Americans, unlike the left, were not swayed by the deception of the media and rejected policies they saw as harmful to children’s well-being. Compare this to the situation in Canada, where similar leftist values are taking root.
Immigration and Security
Biden’s open-door immigration policy led to a surge in crime, rising unemployment, and cultural shifts, with violent groups spreading unrest. This, combined with calls from some to abolish or defund the police, created a tense environment. Even more telling was the increase in support for Trump from minorities such as Black, Hispanic, Arab, and Asian voters—immigrants who nonetheless rejected illegal immigration and its consequences. This mirrors the situation in Canada, where similar immigration policies have led to social discord.
Fake Media
Despite polls showing Harris leading, many Trump supporters were deceived by the mainstream media, which is notorious for manipulating public opinion. However, after Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter (now X), Americans gained access to more balanced viewpoints, which exposed the media’s falsehoods and manipulated narratives. This shift was a major blow to the leftists, who had long used the media and celebrities to advance their agenda. In Canada, Prime Minister Trudeau has implemented similar tactics, limiting press freedom and controlling media outlets to further the World Economic Forum’s agenda.
Trump vs. Harris – Leadership and Character
Trump is a straightforward, family-oriented leader who, despite occasional misstatements, proved to be competent and dedicated to his country. Harris, by contrast, has no clear political vision and has made controversial statements, such as describing herself as a prostitute, rejecting Christmas celebrations, and advising against the glory of God. The American people, known for their respect and patriotism, rejected Harris’s leadership and chose Trump for his integrity and commitment.
American Identity
Perhaps the left’s most insidious goal is the destruction of Western civilization through the erasure of national identities. Policies that promote illegal immigration, victimization of white Americans, and the breakdown of social cohesion serve to fragment American society and undermine national pride. This cultural warfare—exemplified by attacks on the national anthem and the flag—has been bolstered by false media narratives. Yet, the American people rejected this ideological assault and chose to protect their country and their values, despite the pervasive influence of the deep state and corrupt left-wing elites.
This is a warning for Canada: Will Canadians wake up to the dangers of leftist policies, or will they fall for Trudeau’s promises and continue down the path of cultural and economic decay? The coming years will be a decisive test.
Congratulations to the American people for choosing freedom and human values over leftist corruption. If you believe I’m attacking the left out of partisan bias, I must remind you that I have also criticized the conservative right, particularly in Canada, when their approach undermines family values. My analysis comes from a place of observation and conviction, not partisan loyalty.
