Early this morning, a fire broke out on the twenty-first floor of an apartment complex in Mississauga, prompting numerous residents to evacuate their homes. Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services reported that the fire ignited at 4055 Parkside Village Drive around 3 a.m. within the 34-storey building.

Residents affected by the fire on that floor have been temporarily relocated, though the extent of impact on the building’s 600 apartment units remains uncertain. Emergency responders have not disclosed whether any residents sustained severe injuries or required hospitalization.

Management will contact affected residents via email or phone regarding the timeline for returning to their units. Investigations into the fire’s cause and the resulting damage are ongoing.
