According to East Algoma OPP, a vehicle was pulled over for speeding on Highway 17 in Blind River—approximately 160 kilometres west of Sudbury—around 11 p.m. The officer, who was on routine patrol, spotted the vehicle traveling at high speed.
Police say that during the stop, they discovered the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant, was prohibited from driving, and had multiple licence suspensions. Additionally, cannabis was found easily accessible in the vehicle.
The car was towed and impounded, and the driver was taken into custody.
