The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) contributed $7.3 million to the Town of Milton during the 2024 fiscal year. This funding, provided through the Municipal Contribution Agreement (MCA), supports community improvements and programming for residents.
On Monday, Mayor Gord Krantz, along with OLG representatives, celebrated the completion of the Trudeau Park redevelopment, which enhanced the park’s amenities and visitor experience. Following community feedback, a new children’s play area was added, meeting accessibility standards, along with improved pathways, shelters, benches, and trash receptacles. OLG contributed $100,000 to these upgrades.

Additionally, OLG funds support Milton’s local non-profit sector through the Milton Community Fund and Small Grants Program, assisting with local sports, arts programs, festivals, and other community initiatives.
Since the opening of the Mohawk facility in August 1999, OLG has contributed nearly $150 million to Milton.
Mayor Krantz expressed gratitude for OLG’s ongoing investments, highlighting that projects like Trudeau Park demonstrate the lasting benefits of these contributions to the community.
