The Milton Menace played host to their local rival, the Oakville Blades, on Sunday evening, and the results were nothing short of dominant.
Scoring just 1:06 into the game and maintaining relentless pressure throughout, the Menace cruised to an 8-0 victory in front of one of their largest home crowds of the season.
The commanding win marks the Menace’s 10th victory in their last 11 games, improving their record to 25-10-0-3 and solidifying their grip on third place in the OJHL’s Western Conference. They have not lost at home in over two months.
Goaltender Carter Bickle was flawless, stopping all 23 shots he faced to secure his third shutout in his last four starts. Luke Johnston led the offense with two goals, bringing his season total to 18, both scored in the final five minutes.
Madden MacDougall contributed with two goals (13th and 14th of the season) and an assist, while Marco Costante, Nathan Catalano, Justin Dezoete, and Ivan Fabjan all found the back of the net. Ryder Cali also helped set up three goals with his playmaking.
The Menace head to Georgetown on Wednesday before returning home to face Niagara Falls on Friday. As always, puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
