An older man from Milton has been charged with weapons offenses following a heated confrontation with former tenants on Saturday, February 1st.
According to Halton police media relations officer Ryan Anderson, around 8:40 a.m., officers accompanied former tenants to a Gleave Terrace residence to retrieve their belongings. While the landlord initially allowed them to collect their items, he later reentered the house and emerged from the garage holding a large knife.

Reports indicate that the landlord then pointed the knife at both the police and tenants, shouting that they would not be allowed back into the home.
A 76-year-old Milton man was arrested at the scene and faces charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
