– Maintenance on Highway 403 eastbound between Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue will close two left lanes on June 18-19 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
– Construction around Highway 403 and Hurontario Street in Mississauga will cause delays in both directions from June 17-21.
– Ongoing maintenance on Highway 403 westbound between Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga and the QEW in Oakville will close one lane from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily from June 17-21.
– Construction on the eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 between Mavis Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard will result in alternating lane closures from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 17-22.
– A long-duration lane closure around the Highway 401/403/410 interchange from June 17-21 on Highway 401 westbound, causing delays up to 10 minutes.
The CAA has cautioned drivers about the increased risks during summer, noting that dry roads and perfect weather conditions can lead to overconfidence and potentially fatal collisions. They advise vigilance due to sudden weather changes such as downpours, fog banks, or sun glare.
