– Construction along the QEW near Dixie Road in both directions may lead to delays of up to 10 minutes during the week of June 10-14.
– Highway 401 eastbound between Highway 407 and Winston Churchill Boulevard will experience alternating lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between June 10-15.
– The eastbound QEW on-ramp at Mississauga Road will be completely closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until September.
– Alternating lane closures on Highway 401 eastbound collectors between Winston Churchill Boulevard and the Credit River are scheduled from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. between June 10-15.
Additionally, the CAA is urging drivers to watch their speeds, as speeding in residential areas has become a significant concern. A recent poll by CAA revealed that 88% of Canadians are deeply worried about speeding in neighborhoods, with 22% admitting to engaging in it occasionally. Speed-related collisions, according to federal data, are on the rise, comprising a quarter of fatal collisions in the past year. Ian Jack, Vice President of Public Affairs at CAA National, emphasized the importance of slowing down to prevent such incidents and ensuring everyone’s safety.
