Options Available: Online or In-Person

The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is now accepting registrations for junior (Year 1) and senior (Year 2) kindergarten programs starting in September 2025.

How to Register:
Online Registration: Visit the Register My Child for School page on the HDSB website at hdsb.ca.
In-Person Registration: Use the Find My Local School tool on the website to locate your child’s home school and contact them directly for details.
New to Ontario? Use the Where Do I Register Tool to determine if you should begin registration at your home school or the HDSB Welcome Centre.

Required Documents:
Bring the following original documents when registering:

Proof of Address: Provide two current documents such as a lease/deed, utility bill, car registration, or government correspondence.
Proof of Age: Birth certificate, passport, or baptismal record.
Proof of Citizenship: Birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, or landing record (IMM 1000).
Custody Documentation (if applicable): Provide court orders or relevant legal documents.
Eligibility:
Junior Kindergarten (Year 1): Child must be four years old by Dec. 31, 2025.
Senior Kindergarten (Year 2): Child must be five years old by Dec. 31, 2025.
For families requiring language assistance or accessibility accommodations, support is available through the HDSB Welcome Centre or by contacting your local school’s administration.
