Christy Jordan-Fenton draws literary inspiration from close to home—particularly from her Iuvialuk mother’s childhood experiences, including her time at an Arctic Residential School.
The B.C. author will visit Milton Public Library’s Main Branch on Friday, April 4, to discuss some of her impactful children’s books, including Fatty Legs, A Stranger at Home, When I Was Eight, and Not My Girl.
Her Creative Storytelling session, running from 2 to 3 p.m., is open to children aged 8 to 12. Designed to be strengths-based and trauma-informed, the event welcomes both newcomers to Margaret Olemaun’s journey and those already familiar with her story.
Registration is required and can be completed here.
