One person has been charged with stunt driving after a vehicle was clocked at 210 km/h on a highway in Mississauga late Wednesday night.
According to OPP Sgt. Ted Dongelmans, the car was spotted in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, just before Rentforth Drive. Officers monitored the vehicle and pulled it over just before midnight.
The driver’s excuse was, “Just trying to get home,” police reported.
A 25-year-old Toronto resident is facing stunt driving charges. The car was impounded for 14 days, and the driver received a 30-day license suspension.
