There can never be too many bubble tea shops, and Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga is about to welcome another one!

Gong Cha has set up its signage on the upper level of the shopping centre located at 5100 Erin Mills Pkwy.

According to their website, “Gong Cha” refers to the tradition of offering tea to the Emperor in ancient China, which was then consumed by Chinese Emperors.

Originally established in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Gong Cha now has locations worldwide.

The shop features an extensive range of drinks made with real fruit purees, and teas are brewed every four hours for optimal flavor.

Some of the most popular drinks include the Brown Sugar Oolong Milk Tea (a rich milk tea with brown sugar syrup), Earl Grey Milk Tea (a blend of Earl Grey tea with creamy milk), Mango Green Tea (green tea with mango fruit), and Matcha Milk Tea (creamy milk tea infused with matcha green tea powder).

Customers often enhance their beverages with toppings like pearls (tapioca), pudding (a smooth custard-like topping), and aloe vera (refreshing aloe cubes).

Aside from the “coming soon” sign, no official opening date has been announced for the shop. If you’re craving a drink from Gong Cha in the meantime, you don’t have to go far; another location is just a seven-minute drive away at 3465 Platinum Dr. in unit 101.
