A Mississauga resident tragically lost his life after the vehicle he was driving entered Lake Huron last night.
The incident occurred on Amberley Road in Huron-Kinloss Township, located south of Kincardine, around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th, according to a press release from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Emergency responders, including police, members of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services, and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services, extracted the man from the vehicle and administered lifesaving measures, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased driver was identified as an 88-year-old man from Mississauga, though his name has not been released by authorities.
The South Bruce OPP is conducting an ongoing investigation into the collision, with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team and the Coroner’s Office.
