According to a spokesperson for Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services, crews responded to the fire on Pear Tree Road, north of the QEW near Cawthra Road, around 10:30 p.m.
The home was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. Due to heavy smoke, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined. Officials stated that further investigation was not possible as the damage rendered the home unsafe to enter.
