A crash involving a dump truck and another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon has closed a busy stretch of east Mississauga road near the QEW.

According to Peel Regional Police, one driver was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Cawthra Road and North Service Road, just after 2:30 p.m., as reported on X (formerly Twitter). Southbound Cawthra Road from North Service Road is currently shut down for the investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
