Vegan eatery, Community Restaurant, has permanently closed its Port Credit location at 89 Lakeshore Rd. E., INsauga.com has confirmed.

The Port Credit spot opened in the summer of 2022, following the success of the Oakville location, which opened in 2019.
Known for its vegan brunches, the exterior and interior of the Port Credit restaurant had a colourful decor. Durham artist Meaghan Claire Kehoe created a mural for for restaurant.

The menu included lettuce wraps, spicy buffalo cauliflower wings, butter tofu, truffle and wild mushroom risotto and multiple pizza varieties. There were also fresh smoothies and desserts.
Many customers commented on the great food.

“Butter Tofu was to die for especially paired with the Mango Lassi drink,” one person wrote on Google Reviews.
“The best vegan breakfast burrito I’ve had! Potatoes were also delish,” another wrote.
It’s not clear why the Port Credit location has closed. A spokesperson could not be immediately reached for comment.
The Oakville restaurant at 343 Kerr St. remains open.
